Wild Dogs, Africa

There was quite an excitement coming up on the walkie-talkies of our guides when we just left for a safari from our first camp in Okovango Delta. Wild dogs seemed to show up again after they had disappeared almost 1 year ago. There were too many lions around who treatened their pack before. Now they gave another try to resettle in this area. It was our first and really lucky encounter with wild dogs. Further to the west at Selinda Reserve we were able to watch a family with cubs. Hanspeter and our experienced guide had a chance to crawl on the ground and take some nice shots from outside the car. The dogs watched them carefully and very curiously, but as Hp and our guide never approached to fast or exceeded the limit, the dogs relaxed and even lay down in the grass.
